Issue
Under some configurations of FaxNow! and Windows 9x you may find that it is not possible to enable TAPI modem support. A message box appears stating that you need to install a Windows Modem even though there is one installed. See Error Message box below;

Solution
When a TAPI modem cannot be seen by FaxNow! but its COM port can it is probably due to a missing registry value, that links the COM port with the TAPI device.

This is not an issue with Windows NT4 Workstation/Server

Extras
The attached self-extracting file is a program that will analyse a machines registry and add any keys necessary for FaxNow! to work. Once run, you can then enable TAPI support.
