FaxNow! v5 – intelligent faxing for
networks Popular network fax software offers exciting new features including internet faxing FaxNow! v5 is the latest release of the award winning network fax software from RedRock Technologies Ltd., (Milton Keynes, UK). Combining all the virtues of previous versions, FaxNow! v5 offers improved technology and exciting new features such as Least Cost Routing, Internet Faxing, the ability to send faxes as email, and support for 2 fax lines now provided as standard. Internet faxing is gaining rapid acceptance as an affordable way for organisations to send faxes at low cost, especially overseas. FaxNow! v5 provides internet fax support via NetCentric, a leading internet fax provider. User’s simply select ‘Internet Fax’ from the Send-Fax dialog when sending a fax, or ‘Internet Fax’ can be defined within a recipients phone book record. Internet Fax can also be defined as a carrier within the new Least Cost Routing module. This module allows FaxNow! v5 users to save money by sending their faxes via any 3rd party telephone carrier, or the internet. Least Cost Routing profiles can be created based upon time, destination or duration of calls. ViewNow!, RedRock’s ‘email-as-fax’ utility is a unique new RedRock development that allows users to ‘wrap’ their fax in a self viewing file, is integrated within FaxNow! v5. This enables users to send faxes as a self viewing file, as an email attachment, without creating any additional dll’s or applications being resident on the recipients PC. The size of the ViewNow! utility is tiny, only 217kb, enabling ease of use and distribution, particularly welcome to anyone concerned about emailing large image files. ViewNow! is available via download from RedRock’s web site for anyone not yet using FaxNow!, but who wants to wrap their files effortlessly.
